Pakistan Becomes Heated with a Passion Towards Peace
After attending the 3rd Annual Commemoration of the WARP Summit, Mr. Atiq Raja expressed his aspiration to hold at least 50 peace events for the culture of peace to take root in Pakistan. He has held a total of 12 peace lectures so far. Mr. Atiq Raja, the President of Pakistan Youth Council (PYC), held a peace lecture on November 1st, 2017 at Al-Amin Public School and College Matli of Badin District in Pakistan.
The audience for the peace lecture during this visit to Al-Amin Public School and College Matli were elementary and middle school students. The peace lecture, which lasted more than four and a half hours, was passionately conveyed to male middle school students during the morning and to female middle school students and elementary school students during the afternoon. With about 300 students and faculty in attendance, Mr. Atiq Raja vividly described and shared the things that he saw, heard, and felt during his experience at the peace festival hosted by Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) held in South Korea last September. On this day, the students who participated in the peace lecture continued with a heated discussion on “What must we do, and how?” in order to bring a true and lasting peace to Pakistan.
Mr. Atiq Raja, having the goal of establishing a network that will spread a culture of peace among the youth living in Pakistan, shared his determination to work even more fervently in 2018 together with the IPYG.
We expect 2018 to become a year in which the seeds of peace that have been planted in Pakistan will gradually bear fruit.
